Dual Blade (Moonbroch and Queen’s Weather)

These are the Dual Blades. It is the starting weapons that the protagonist will have access to and already provides a decent way to decimate enemies! It contains a variety of combos to be done on the ground and has ways to damage the opponent even in the air.

A lot of these attacks are very flexible, allowing the player to cancel out of them immediatly to access other movements or combat abilities.

Let’s explore more of these in depth below!

Standard Combos

These are the attacks that can be utilised whether or not the player is locked on or locked off of an enemy. There is a moderate range of attacks available and they can all be cancelled out of anytime allowing a flexibility of many different combinations of attacks to be made.

Combination A - Four Strike

This is the standard combo that links to many other combination attacks in the Dual Blades arsenal.

It is a four hit combo that can be accessed quickly for some immediate damage. It strikes fast and has a rapid recovery.

Combination B - Air Lift

The purpose of this attack is to lift enemies into the air.

It will deal minimal damage but is great for removing the player from danger on the ground and into air combos.

This combo is accessed by attacking after a slight pause of the first attack of the Four Strike combo.

Air Combination - Air Frenzy

Air Frenzy is the air combo available for the Dual Blades. It is a three hit combo that sends the enemy flying away on the final hit.

It can only be accessed in the air when pressing the attack button and deals an average amount of damage.

Combination C - Opening Sweep

Opening sweep is one of the stronger two combination attacks of the Dual Blades.

It is a quick combination attack but if player button pressing is timed correctly, it can access the Rapid Strikes attack.

This combo is accessed by attacking after a slight pause of the second attack of the Four Strike combo.

Combination C Upgrade - Rapid Strikes

When Rapid Strikes is accessed, it can deal the highest damage possible for the Dual Blades.

It is used by first entering Opening Sweep and mashing the attack button before entering the final strike of that combo.

By continually mashing the attack button even after entering the ability, the player will relentlessly strike the enemy up to a certain amount before finishing with a kick that sends the enemy flying.

Combination D - Moonlight Dance

This is the strongest standard combination attack of the Dual blades.

It contains the most attacks that come in quick succession of one another and deals the highest damage unless the player is able to successfully enter Rapid Strikes and get the most out of that ability.

It is accessed by attacking after a slight pause of the third attack of the Four Strike combo.

Tilt Attacks

Tilt attacks can only be accessed when the player is locked onto the enemy. They can be used by either tilting forward or backwards on the left analogue stick while locked on and will result in the following attacks below.

Forward Tilt Attack - Lunar Waltz

This is the forward tilt attack of the Dual Blades. It results in the player charging towards a locked on enemy and then dealing out several slashes rapidly.

It’s range is as long as the range for lock-on and will have the player charging endlessly towards the enemy unless the player decides to attack cancel.

It deals good damage and is great for using with other combos.

Back Tilt Attack - Mirror Reflection

This attack is one of the very few counter abilities in the game for the player.

It has the player enter into a guard stance and should the player time it correctly, it will result in the player rapidly moving behind the enemy slashing forward towards them.

This attack will always target the locked on opponent even if the attack countered came from an enemy that was not locked onto.
